Outreach
Heading out onto the streets of Stockport and Greater Manchester is all about raising awareness of EGG, what work we do and connecting with those who need our help. Our outreach program aims to spark inspiration in homeless people. We want them to see that their current circumstances don't need to be permanent. Change can happen. Our Manchester volunteers take time to chat with prospective EGG clients, getting to know their goals and ascertain whether EGG might be the best route for them. Embarking on a life-changing journey can be daunting, so if an individual isn't ready to take that first step today, they know where we are.
Attending Events
When we are hosting fundraising events or attending awareness activities, it is great to have extra hands on deck to offer support and tell the world about EGG. These events usually involve networking, chatting to the general public about the work we do, telling people about your experience volunteering and raising awareness of the challenges homeless people face in the North West. At these events, you will be the face of the charity so a cheery smile and great communication skills are a must!
Administrative Support
If helping behind the scenes is more your speed, we always need support with the administrative tasks that help to keep EGG functioning. This may include anything from answering emails and enquiries, booking appointments, liaising with mentors and processing volunteer applications. No need to be Manchester-based, this voluntary job could be done anywhere in the UK.
Ambassadors
If you are a person of position or consider yourself an influencer, we are looking for ambassadors to spread the word about the work we do. We'd greatly appreciate it if you could volunteer your time to publicly support EGG. Contact us to find out more about this.
